An Arrogant Colonizer’s Propaganda

Oh, I just must tell you, dear reader, about the latest discovery on *****. You will simply delight about it. We’ve found intelligent life on this horrendous planet, but like everything else, it’s marvelously confusing!

You know the pictures you’ve seen, of these adorable little things? Well, reader, those are the “elders” as they care called. Which is baffling to me, dear reader. They look childlike down right infantile!

However, according to the “productives” they are the repositories of knowledge and wisdom. They are the, and get this reader, the past and the future. Apparently, these childlike things, hold the collective knowledge of generations, if you can believe that I have a bridge to sell you.

I can tell you that giants did not, oh, no they did not, like when we dissected one of those little things. Reader, I must confess, I truly did fear for my life. If it wasn’t for our noble Citizen Soldiers, why, I probably wouldn’t be here writing this to you my dear lovely, brilliant reader.

I’m not even really sure why those giants got so upset about us killing and cutting up one of these childlike things. I mean, it almost immediately turned into a crystal. A crystal so hard that we couldn’t cut it with anything we had on hand. The Plasma torches just had all their light and energy refracted or absorbed by the crystal.

Within a day or so the strangest thing happened, dear reader. The crystal opened and a productive stepped out! They were one of the largest and fully developed productive we have ever seen. It appears that the natural radiation in the caves on ***** must provide the energy these strange beings need to mature and go through their life cycle.

Dear reader, I was lucky I wasn’t present for the opening of that crystal. Everyone observing the crystal and making readings, in person, was immediately killed. I mourned for their loss dear reader. I mourned even more when that beautiful specimen had to be put down.

I know my dear reader, what you must be thinking. But fear not, the Productives are no more intelligent than the family dog. They only show glimmers of intelligence when there are a group of them. Then one becomes their leader. Otherwise, they are managed by one of those child like things.

So, like a vicious dog, we put that productive down. It was as beautiful and perfect as one of those things possibly could be. Unlikely the rabid beast that you can toss into a grave to rot and turn back into dust, these monsters aren’t so gracious.

That productive turned into a crystal as well! We did everything we could to remove it from our campsite, dear reader. We discovered, to our horror, that the crystal developed a growth that broke through the camp’s floor and found our power lines. We did our best to isolate the power from that room.

Dear reader, do you remember the comic books we read as a child? One that always brought me joy was the Hulk. I know, reader, that the Hulk is typically portrayed as a brutish stupid, simple monster. However, I enjoy it because of the complexity of the psychology of the character.

Well, reader, this giant, was very Hulk like. It was huge compared to the others we’d seen before. It was smarter than the other ones and it seemed to know how to get more power, which made it get larger.

Our camp was nearly destroyed, reader. I cannot believe such a being could possibly exist. It destroyed a number of tanks. Countless Citizen Soldiers. Fortunately, our Mech Suited Warriors managed to put the monstrosity down.
To our horror, the monstrosity spawned a dozen smaller crystals. We left before the monsters spawned again. Reader, I barely got off ***** alive. I think there can be only one solution to such a horrific place. We need to open a black hole at the center of the planet.

Dear reader, there can be NO mistaking it. Those monsters are a threat to our very survival. If they are able to create interstellar travel they will attack us. There will be no rational basis for their attack. They will seek to destroy us. They will simply drop a handful of productives and nuke them. leaving them to absorb the radiation and grow as large as they can.

Reader, our peaceful scientific exploration was met with unbridaled fury. We were constantly attacked. We did nothing to them, yet we were always under guard.

I hope you take this warning to heart. Those monsters cannot be trusted.
